The Government Affairs and Public Policy Committee (GAPP) reviews current bills introduced in the Colorado legislature and drives public policy pertinent to nursing and professional issues. GAPP Committee also informs efforts to revise or review the State of Colorado Nurse Practice Act.

The GAPP Committee meets once per month on the 4th Wednesday, meeting times are 6:15pm – 8pm.
During Colorado’s legislative session, January-May, GAPP meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.
All meetings are held virtually until further notice and are open for all active CNA members to attend. To view upcoming meeting dates, check the CNA Calendar.
To Join GAPP:
- Current CNA members can attend the meeting via Zoom.
- Once they attend 3 meetings they will be considered for GAPP Committee membership and a commitment form is signed pending GAPP policy.
- Students wishing to attend meetings must register.
