There are several organizations within CNA that offer opportunities for you to be involved.

You may join more than one, as long as you meet the membership criteria for the group.

Colorado Association of Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses (CAAPPN) was founded in 1978 to foster quality behavioral health services, promote the individual’s potential, as well as advance the profession of Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing. That purpose continues to be relevant today. CAAPPN is open to CNA members who are Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.

Colorado Society of Advanced Practice Nurses (CSAPN) provides a forum by which nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse midwives, and nurse anesthetists can enrich their professional practice. It also promotes the role of the advanced practice nurse. CSAPN is open to all CNA members who are Advanced Practice Registered Nurses who are on the Colorado APRN Registry.

Southwest Colorado Nurses Association (SWCDNA) is open to members of CNA who work or reside in the geographic boundaries of SWCDNA (Ouray, San Miguel, Dolores, Montezuma, La Plata, Hinsdale, Archuleta, and San Juan Counties), and any other CNA members who wish to join.

Nurses in Action provides networking and social engagement opportunities, community service activities, and education for its members and other interested nurses. Membership is open to all CNA members. Live meetings and activities occur predominantly in the Denver Metro Area, however nurses in other areas are encouraged to join and develop local activities.

District 20 Nurses Association groups is open to CNA Members who live in Jefferson, Clear Creek, and Gilpin Counties.
